Grant amounts vary by organization and are typically between $2,000 and $20,000 for a one-year period.
Requests for operating and program costs, capital purchases and facility renovations will be considered as well as support for specific programs and activities.
Nonprofit organizations must be a qualified 501(c)(3) and provide their Letter of Determination. They must also be current in their registration with the California Attorney General’s office.
The review process begins as soon as requests are received, with actual monies issued by the calendar year end. There are no limitations on how many times an organization can apply however requests must be received by November 1st for end of year funding. Some exceptions to this policy are allowed depending on the urgency of the request.
